Final Wedding of 2008

Jus went to a secondary sch mate wedding at Bt batok hilltop.. nice place and ambience.. but not really the style i like.. not cosy enuff, haha!!

Anyways, i realise i haf FOUR weddings to go oredi for next year.. my gosh.. my bank really 'bleeding' badly... haiz..but no choice la..

Now, im jus hoping that i can also prepare my own wedding.. still waiting...

Well well, the year is coming to an end soon.. cant believe time passed so fast..

it was only in sept that I went Bali.. and it's been 3 months liao..

hope next year will be a better year.. hope my wish will come true in 2009!!

26/08/08 - Selection of hdb flat starts..
28/08/08 - We applied and paid $10.. (dats like our 7th time!!)
08/10/08 - I can never forget the day I went online and saw our queue no.!! and it's my sis birthday as well!!)
10/12/08 - Went to select our flat..hehe..we got a high level unit after all,heng arh..
15/12/08 - Dear went to submit docs and ask hdb some qns..
23/12/08 - we went down to take oath declaration ..haha..

Our Dream House

Went down HDB to choose our unit, and it turns out that we are e first in line. Hee, tink the one b4 us has given up their chance.. and we got the 19th floor!

Its not our 1st choice but given the queue, we are still lucky enuf to get this unit. So now im prayin that most of the flats will be taken up. If not, the proj will still not pull thru..

Went to bugis to pray.. hopefully, good luck wil continue to be with us:)

Went to take a look at the Ben 7 Jerry festival, so disppointing cos the weather was real humid after the rain..duh... anyway, we had bak kut teh before that. and we had dinner at ASTON's on friday at The Cathay.

Finally, waited so long and it's finally here. Been anticpating to choose our flat for a long,long time.. Actually quite disappointed cos our choice of flats are all taken up.. we wanted to get the 18th floor but apparently everyone had the same idea... so now it's left to a few choices.. i have in mind a unit.. hopefully tmr we can get.. :)

Dinner @ CENTRAL

It's been a long while that i have stepped into town on a monday to have dinner. Met up with dear to eat at The Manhattan Fish Market. The grilled fish was really nice but dear had fish n chips, which was a bit bland surprisingly. Guess they din really marinate it well...

But the clam chowder is something i will recommend cos its really rich in taste.. though abit salty but still good nonetheless.. tatoal bill add up to almost $50 with 2 more drinks!!

Guess its a long time later that im eating there again!

First day of Selection

Todays the first for selection for the 4-room flat..and my gosh, the take up rate is 100 %.

I have figured out based on various ppl's queue no.

29th Nov (sat) : No. 1 to 10
1st Dec (mon) : No. 11 to 25
2nd Dec (tues) : No. 26 to 40

On average, 15 ppl were invited to select on weekdays and 10 invited on saturdyas..

Im so worried i cant select a good unit..:(

Random Events!

Just went to watch a movie ytd at cwp wif sis - Body of Lies. It's by actor leonardo DiCaprio and Russel Crowe..Nice show, its abt the iranians, iraqis and jordanians.. it's too political for me but overall the show is on the move..had to pay attention if not i cant catch wat they are trying to say.. I would say its one of the best show of the year so far..

Also, it's exactly 14 days to selection day for our flat.. cant wait.. really croos my fingers that we can get the first choice thou i doubt it cos our no. is not really fantastic..

We got the date!!

Ok, fyi we are not getting married yet.. Cos dear stil haven proposed.. so im still waiting.. But we finally got the date to select our flats! Yeah!! It's been so long! I cant wait to select the flat.. I feel we are always one step behind others.. almost all my frens my age are either married or going to next year.. haiz.. well, i can only slowly wait lor.. no choice..:(

But Im really looking forward to choose our dream house tgt! :)

What happened?

I was in a confused state of mind these few days.. and luckily theres a thing called WORK that actually help me to divert my attention. Im so grateful that I still haf my job to depend on.. it's now my source of not jus income but emotional support as well! (I cant belieive im saying these, but im having a new perspective on worklife).

Im really feeling really low now. Was really disturbed and annoyed for 2 nites and ytd was the last straw. I pratically had to control my anger AND my volume. Cos his mom is also around. In the end, my anger burst in tears.. I was really so mad at him and myself.. Why we cat communicate? and why i din bring myself to push him and force him to speak?! Im really at a loss...

I am getting a giraffe neck...

I have been waiting until neck long long... why's the hdb letter so long.. Im really scared that they forgot to post the letter out.. Haiz, i jus wanna select dream choice of my flat badly..

Looking at how fast other have progressed in their made me wonder why im always slower than others? even thoug we are almost ard the same age., ppl ard are either married or giving birth.. haiz... im like always lagging behind..haiz..

To move on or to remain where i am?

Just had a slight incident early this morning.. I cant stand the way he talked to me when he's the one having an issue..

I find it a lil irresponsible.. and to think he finds me naggy by commenting on that.. Fyi, I din even use the word irresponsible.. Haizz. Im dissapointed with wat he said...

Maybe becos we are both really stressed out.. subconsicously.. talking abt wedding plans, housing issues.. it's become a bread & butter issue all of a sudden.. it's scary... i hope everything will be settled soon.. and things will get better:)

The Waiting goes on...

Why am I still waiting? The BTO result is out for 2 weeks and Istill havent received nes of the invitation letter to select the flat.. why?

Im getting worried? will they forget?

Dream come true!

Yeahh! We are finally getting a home of our own.. hopefully we can get by end 2011.. by then, I will be 30.. haizz..but nonetheless, with the economic downturn..and financial crisis.. I think it's better to buy a house now than ever.

People!! Go get a house... think it's hitting a big low now. Me going down with Dear to pay the option fee in Nov. Hopefully, we can get the unit we want.. Im waiting eagerly for the relevant documents to come and inform us of the date to go down HDB:)

Finally, one important thing in my life is starting soon.

I can finally think of how to renovate our house liao..haha..

Off to Bali!!

Going to the airport later tonite.. most prob im gonna be bunking at the airport to 5am in the morning.. cos my flight is at 6.20am..damn..

But im looking forward to the trip for a long while.. from start of the year to till now before the plan actually materialise.. it's jus me and dear..our first trip dat we are going alone.. previous trips was always wif frensn family..

I was the one who plan the whole trip, checking out the airlines tickets, comparing here & there.. he's totally not involved but no choice cos he's always busy n barely haf time to rest/sleep.. hope the weather is fine.. im prayin hard..

Will upload some photos after e trip.. been a while since i upload photos but anyways.. this blog is not dedicated to anyone so haha... im not worried dat anyone would complain...

On a side note: Prayin for all those who didnt survive the 911 crash in US.. and hope the families can take good care and live even harder and better for their loved ones..

Life so far..

Just passed my 27th birthday 3 weeks ago.. didnt celebrate as my dear was on business trip at batam.. spent the day peacefully at home.. haiz.. life has became like a boring storybook with nothing interesting to tell.. is it ever going to be like that 4ever?

Went to watch Wall-E last sunday, it was a pretty nice show.. and the robot eas really cute.. and the movie brings across environemental msg for everyone.. haha.. quite educational la..

Just heard my dear's primary sch mate jus gave birth to a baby girl.. haiz.. and another primary sch of mine is gettin married this dec.. looks like i have quite a few weddings to attend.. damn.. my pocket really burn one big hole.. as for me, im still the same.. no big plans yet.. stil the same old me..

So tired of arguing..

Feelin so tired now.. waited for him until 2am in the morning.. was bloody pissed.. i hate ppl who break their promise..

and i hate it dat there they dun even find it a problem at all.. wtf?!

feeling mentally and pysically tired now.. hope the dinner tonite can help lift my spirits abit..

Weekend ramblings....

It's Sunday..woah, the weekend always seems too short for my liking.. ytd was my half day at work.. and ytd evening was spent at lot one shopping.. haha, my dear dear actually offered tp ahop wif me thou he had just ended work at ard 5pm.. guess he's trying to compensate me cos i wanted to go cityhall initially but he's doesnt wanna squeeze and queue to eat at the restaurant..bummer..

Hehe, luckily, i managed to buy a pretty dress and some lingerie. well, better than nothing right?

Anyways, been seeing alot of cranky ppl this week.. It was after work when i was walking past hdb building when a man (Note: he;s smaking and coughing at the same time) suddenly ask me: "can you buy durians for my mother to eat? (Dats translated from chinese?)Eh, first theres no durian stall ard and second, i dun even know him..wtf? I stared at him and den knowing that i haf ignored him..he actually start to ask from another person.. the funny thing is ghe doasnt look dat crazy..but i mean should't this kind of ppl be tendered by their family or nurse? Tsk tsk..

Think i have lost count of crazy ppl i have seen my entire life but the most crazy person who had left the greatest impression or rather nightmare is a guy on the train thinking he's bruce lee or his disciple. He tried to challenge a passneger, who coincidena=tally sat beside.. Damn, the crazy guy attacked the passenger and i was kind attacked at the arm but luckily its just a small bruise.

So, now u see why it's still better to drive ur own car than take public transport? seriously, u tend to feel safer when u dun think of meeting a crazy person every now and then..

Dear Old Friend

I bumped into an JC fren at BPP on Monday. He's the 4th JC fren I saw at BPP. Nope, they dun live at bt panjang except for one.. Well, i din go up to talk to them but this time, but this time round, it was pretty funny.

We saw each other at the same time and i was trying te recall his name..haha, and he tot i had forgotten his name.. How can? I even sang with him at a contest in school.. how can forget??

Turns out he's doing fine as an insurance agent.. whys everone in insurance? Funny, it's so saturated oredi

anyway, really happy to catch up wif him.. memories welling up..:)

I was reading some blogs and it suddenly occurred to me: " why is everyone's life so interesting??" Im getting sick of my monotonous life.. I'm still going to work tmr..and its a bloody saturday..seriously. i havent been enjoying my saturdays for along time... I think i haf the saturday blues to be exact, this is so pathetic!!

Help!! I dun haf any motivation at all.. i got a feeling i have fallen into the trap of jus living day by day and saving a bit of moni everyday so dat that i have some miserable savings to last me when i retire..damn... no, i think fuck is better word for the current mood im in..

Human Nature...

I have just made a huge purchase on my bf credit card.. to buy FIR concert tix! And I got the most expensive tix, $148!! The total amt plus handling fee amt to $302.20!!

I know I know.. i dun really need to get the nost expensive one but.. its facing the centre of the stage wor..I'm looking forward to it.hee..

But Im really greedy u know? I still want dear to accompany me more, take me to eat at nice plc..blah blah..im neva satisfied.. im starting to wonder if this is called materialistic or jus plain human nature? I'm not so sure but i do rem dear once told me im abit materialistic and i was kinda annoyed. But now i dun really blame hime him for saying that. I guess i finally understand why he said that. Any way, I still love my dear dear!:)

Narnia "Aftermaths"!!

Went to watch Narnia - Prince Caspian ytd at JP. We went in a group of 7, namely my bf's cousins and brother..they kindly invited to watch it even thou my bf was too busy to watch.. Anyway, that's not wat i really wana talk abt.. it was the process of watching the show.

U know i was really anticpating the sequel of the show cos the 1st part was really good (anyways, I heard that the 1st movie was in fact the 2nd or the 4th part of the non-fiction story book.. well, i was a bit disapponted cos it was not as goos as the 1st one. The plot was kinda pushy, like trying to force something out of it.. I cant understand why Aslan, the Lion cant save them in the first place..lots of ppl and Narnians wont need to die loh.. and the silly answer was: " The same thing wont happen twice.." wat the shit!? And throughout the movie, some silly kids behind kept talking, crunching plastic bags and whining to go home nearing the show.. they really spoil the climax lor.. damn.. i swear i aint gona save a bit of moni jus to watch it wif some silly kids..

But I gota admit that Prince Caspian is quite an eye candy.. i like the cleft in his chin..its so special..haha.. well, dats abt it... hope the 3rd series will be better:)

The past 2 weeks have been pretty boring.. nothing eventful I must say.. Except for the daily nonsense from customers calling up, it has been a smooth week.

Been wanting to watch Ironman, everyone is saying how nice the show..and I think Im one of the few who hasnt watched it lor.. damn...

Life's been good... "feng pin lang jin".. went to an old classmate birthday celebration at island resort at ECP. He's a a good fren of my boyfren.. It's been a year since I saw him last when he met up wif my bf..

Saw lotsa old frens.. feeling a bit nostalgic..haha... many memories flowing in.

Had been a fun gathering thou something happened at e end of the nite (Or rather morning)..cos i think everyone had a drink too much.. stayed from 11 pm to 6 am the next day and we wentback to sleep.. haa.. but slept until 12 plus only.. beome panda bear lor.. haha..

ytd went to esplanade wif dear to watch yq perform at a flute repertoire.. Lasted for abt 2 hrs... i neva went to such artistic stuff wif dear b4.. haha

Miracles??

Im hoping for a miracle.. but its gona be hard.. im not sure if we haf the luck.. realy desperately hope to get a new flat.. dats wat i realy hope for.. but it seems luck not on our side...

I was in shock!!

The 1st thing my female colleague told me in the morning: " I'm getting married. In May."

I tot she was joking.. but its not april fool rite? Den I suspect something..and she dropped the bombshell.. She said: "Im pregnant.." I was in a daze.. and the facts slowly sunk in..

Its a good thing she's married and all.. but i told her that its not the way i wanna get married.. and she agreed.. well, lets jus hope that her baby is fine cos heard dat its unstable n i remember giving her some stomache wind pills to eat last week..gulps**

Random Happenings

Jus some random events in life.. my life is so not drama.. and i'm not getiing married like what is happening to almost everyone..

I just won $80 the week before playing In-Between!! I have broken my own curse!!

Just watched 10,000 BC.. the show is not bad but some parts are a bit crappy and you can actually ear everyone in the theatre laughing when the scene is not supposed to be funny..

Dat's all.. for now.. zzzz.. how boring..

Feeling Sick(really sick arh)

Its been more than 2 weeks since CNY.. and I haf been sick for that long.. Had a full-blown flu after i was down on a fever on tues, 12th feb.. and been ill since.. haiz, i must admit i tried to finish my pills.. i finish all my anti-botics and cold pills and had to find more ration from my previous "leftovers" from doctors' visits.

Had spent close to 60 bucks oredi(cant claim somemore) and still my throat is still in pain and having phlegm.. damn it.. but the good thing is: i think i lost weight..haha.. mus find a chance to weigh myself wif a digi machine, hehe..

And something sad has happened.. my bf's godsis father jus passed away last sunday.. kinda expected and unexpected at e same time.. he had e same same sypmton on new year day..well, we knew if he din go for operation, it might happen again.. and sadly... but i believe he din suffer in pain when he left.. dats all it matters..

Countdown to CNY 2008!

Woohoo.. 5 more days to cny, 4 more days to new yr eve.. I cant wait for nex wk to come but on the other hand, i feel that time really past by real fast.. One month haas oredi passed in the new yr.. it's abit frightening..im so scared of gettin old.. still nt yet get a flat, nt married.. nt earning much from my job.. really scares me.. i wonder if i haf enuf moni to travel ard the world n haf enuf moni for my old age.. haizz.. being poor sucks..:(

wELL. I only take gd care of myself and try to enjoy life to the fullest..tmr is resting after work.. gonna pack and tidy the hse since my deardear is busy wif his own plans.. darnm.. he hasnt bothered to call..mus be enjoying himself at the chalet..hmmph..

sunday is playtime at Sentosa,...im kinda looking forward to it..cos i always wanted to hang out there with a group of ppl..relaxing, playing ball..jus baskin under the sun.. yeah...:)

Den its 1 more day at work, tuesday is area cleaning at the company.. dun think we will really work, hehe..

I cant wait for sunday to come...lalala...

CNY is coming!!

Wow, its already 4 weeks into the new year..i dont seem to have enuf tim to use..its scary.. been staying up late this few days.. watching tv, lazin ard at home after work.. but im still not exactly satisfied with my life yet.. really hope i can get to life my life the way i want soon.. haiz.. wonder when that will happen?

Anyways, kinda looking forward to the long break durin CNY.. Will be having a 5 day break.. haha.. can spend more time with my dear.. cos this few weeks he was really busy.. hope thay can hire someone soon..

It's a brand new year!

The new year kickstart in a pretty dramatic way... Was wif my boyfren at his grandma hse.. He was playin mj wif his uncles and uncle-in-law when the latter suddenly broke out in cold sweat.. Tot he was feelin unwell, but he was suddenly gasping for breath and everyine was totally freaked out..

Ambulance came and he was rushed to hospital.. Luckily his condition had stabilised.. I think he smoke too much and sat at the mj table for too long.. So my advice is: Pls move ard often.. blood circulation is very important!!

Been busy at work as usual.. really wana take a break badly.. hopefully everything will happen as planned:)
