Xmas Eve dinner @ Mount Faber!

Went to Mt Faber to haf our xmas eve dinner with dear.. long time since we celebrate xmas ourselves..

this year there's no xmas gathering with dear's cousin so was deciding to eat at a restaurant.. was planning to go il lido at sentosa cos there's a 1-for-1 promo.. but sentosa was a bit ulu.. so decided to go mt faber thou it was really ex.. @ $221 nett per pax..

Had eaten ther before so expected the menu to be great but the food turns out to be disppointing... the dessert was changed last minute with informing us.. but luckily dessert still turns out nice.. but the musical "winter snow show" was a huge boo boo..

Only gona have ala carte next time at mount faber...

The year is coming to an end soon.. seems like I have just celebrated CNY..

Life is still the same.. except that now im not a missus anymore, haha

Nonetheless, there doesnt seem to be any change in my lifestyle, still the same usual pace.. working, coming back for dinner (by myself)

Theres 2 at queenstown, 1 at bt pjg and 1 ar sembawang..

Wah, the bt pjg one is so ex... how to buy? somemore near the expressway.. as far..

The highest level is 15th floor & cost 250K !! Mine is at 19th level n cost the same!

Was going thru my receipts n saw one from Ajisen..

Almost forgot that I had dinner at Ajisen (CWP) last thursday (29 oct).

He suggested to eat n I was excited ti use my new UOB-JCB card, haha..
the card is really pretty.. i get dear to apply it (okok, i write the application form & get him to sign la)

Anyways, just to update cos its been a boring week so far.. todays friday but dear's not gg to accompany me, as usual, his Fridays are always not for me.. either for work, drinking or playing mj..

I was quite pissed abt it & he tot i was making a big fuss abt it.
its not a matter of playing mj but rather why he mus always leave his Fridays for other ppl n not for me.. it's like Friday is a chill out day but he wont prefer to chill out with me.. haizz.. seems that he dun really understand me after all..

The waiting goes on

Was looking thru the punggol forum & saw many hdb projects there are building at a fast speed..

Somehow, i feel that senja is pretty slow compared to punggol new flats..
Wonder is it becos of the slope which make it more difficult to build??

My fren is getting her flat end 2010... her flat started construction only 10 mths ahead of me (which is last year 2008).. but seems that mine is going to take 3 years cos my flat level is 31 stoerys high... sianzz..

But anyway, have to save up the money... guess reno is going to cost abt 30k i guess.. how to save??? so much money... :(

Busy.. busy but not with work

Well, been busy over the weekend..

Had dinner on Friday last week with YJ and gang.. had fun chatting with them at tcc..

Then sat, went double o for dear's primary sch mate bday celebration..

I got drunk and really high, haha.. and i was dancing like mad..

luckily i din puke, thanks to dear who took care of me.. think he din get drunk becos of me..haha...

21 is another uni fren getting married.. alamak.. gg to be so broke in nov..

Weekend events

Basically, my weekend was spent doing practically nothing.. cos both me n dear ran out of money... very poor this month, especially after the tokyo trip.

No more new bags or clothes for October.. mus "ren, ren,ren"!!

Saturday lunch was spent buying takeaways n eating at home... I had mos burger while dear had chicken rice... We just rot the whole day without doing much.. after dat, I jus spent time listening to music on my pc for a while.. cant remember wat we had for dinner.. memory is losing me.. mus ask dear, haha..

Sunday was spent eating porridge.. saw a very tanned couple.. dear spotted them again when we are having dinner at bt batok !! So qiao , haha.. Upon my request, dear brought me to walk the pang sua park connector. It actually links all the park in the west side. Our starting pt is from Dear's house n we walk thru the flats n cut through the park.. but halfway thru, we went to eat Chwee Kuey..it was ard 7pm when we went there.. so it looked a bit eerie la..

On our way up towards the expresswat there, we can still see vehicles but soon u can only see the jogging path n a few apartment buildings.. it was called Chestnet Avenue apartment. there are actually ppl living there. We saw lights were on and both me and Dear saw a little boy running around naked in the house, haha..

When we reach the top, we saw a group of sports ppl.. guess they we jogging there cos they were all in sports attire.. haha,, but they actually DRIVE there la.. we more healthy n environmental, we really walk ley..

Anyway, it's a nice experience but i think i wasnt well prepared. next we shall start off early n i muz wear shoes.. cos i had a bit of abrasion on my feet, ouch!!

One nite stay at Trader's hotel

Dear & I have booked a room at Trader's hotel for one nite in oct.. Hee, so happens i recevie an email promo. The hotel is having 50% discount.

Of coz, dear wanna take the cheapest room.. but breakfast not inclusive wor.. Not worthwhile to take the standard delux room.. so we took the trader's club room.. there's special check in on the 17th floor where the club lounge is.. other exclusive service like free beverage service, happy hour at the lounge. Im so looking forward to it..

Pity it's a bit far from the main orchard road.. have to walk..well, was thinking we can eat lunch n then walk there to check in :) Still remember we stayed at Majestic hotel in june.. the room was lovely.. i love the bathtub, it's see through glass overlooking the bed n tv!! i think it's a good option if u haf limited budget n time to go overseas.

Banana giveaways at AMK!

Was on my way to work today & got a free banana!! The promo was done by Dole.. check online & found that they are a banana importer. Hee, how I wish some company woould give free strawberries, cos thats my favourite fruit!

This past weekend was pretty fufilling.. Friday played mj wif dear's cousin.. sat after work ate lunch with dear at home & we watch All In together.. at nite, we ate Botak jones at bt batok.. the fish & chips was delicious!! we order nachos also but cant finish so we tapau home, haha... after eating, we went to West Mall to jalan a while.. i bought an ezlink card from Precious Moments.. I bought 1 design which was given to me by Miss J!! Silly right but i like the design..

Sunday was R&R day..we woke up real late.. went to eat at Jin San Ling & have our haircut.. refreshed!! afterwhich we went back & rot & rot until evening time.. Dear had to attend wedding at fort canning. His army feen getting married but I din go cos dear wans to drink until very late.. anywhere, oso good can save on ang bao cos we are really poor now.. haa.. anyway, dear pei me to eat KFC awhile & before leaving we met YQ & Ah L**g.. so later i join them at swensen for ice cream.. they borrowed the Vcd - Just follow law...such a lame show..haha.. anyway we jus have a good laugh la..

Monday was the best cos dear accompany me the whole.. we had porridge breakfast & went to ION in the afternoon. went to Cathay grand & buy movie tix b4 jalan ard ION. Had Carls junior at far east then went PS to shop before gg to watch Inglourious Basterds.. did I spell that correctly? ha.. or i spelt the wrong spelling correctly? Tarantino is really one funny guy.. his movies are so bloody violet, full of gore.. but funny at the same time..that's all for the 4 days... really fufilling... im contented, at least for a while.. but thats human nature :)

Woo hoo... my desktop is finally up!!

Hehe... at last...my desktop table is done. thanks to ah shen :) He helped me set up my IKEA table.. really owe him a favour..

Heh, went to IKEA ytd to buy a desktop table.. my hubby's uncle told me its very light & cheap.. so along I went to IKEA.

But im horrified when I found that e table is damn heavy.. no choice i had to take a cab back to my hubby plc..

Luckily the cab driver was very nice.. he helped me carry to the lift lobby.. so thankful to him.. He even charged me $15 when its supposed to be $15.10

Feel so lucky to meet nice ppl like him... really makes my day! :)

A new desktop!!

Hee, finally got a desktop of my own.. Been feeling fustrated cos I dun haf access to internet at my hubby house.. getting bored nowadays as he seldom have the time to accompany me.. so I decided to get one to use during the weekday nites :)

The desktop is not installed yet.. waiting to buy a new table to put before getting ah sheng they all to install for me..:) Can't wait!!

Dinner at Tai Guo Xiao Shi

Had dinner wif my family and dear on Sunday at yishun. Went to eat ju chao there cos the food quite nice.. their specialty is the calamari.. they even haf a special garlic sauce to complement it... Yummy!!

July Birthday Girls

Ytd went to have sushi tei for dinner as a bday celebration for my sec sch frens.. it was more like a catch up session.. thou we jus met 2 weeks ago, haha!

Anyways, one of the girls bought a condo with the htb.. it cost a whooping %858888!!

Come to think about it, the condo is 3 times my hdb flat price.

Imagine Im paying 30 years for my flat.. that means that I will be paying 90 years for the condo!! Yikes!

Anyway,seems that I'm the last of my girlfrens to get my flat.. still need to wait at least 2.5 years.. it's a long wait.. too bad, cos not enuf money to buy resale:(

Monday Night Out

Went to a pub at woodlands neighbourhood.. it was many years ago that my dad brought the whole family there to eat..

It was too long that I cant remember what we ate there.. kinda sad.. the memories just fade away..suddenly tot of the week before that I ate with my family outside at Xin Wang at North Point. Longtime since we ate out together..

Hoping to go eat at the "Zi Ca" at Yishun this week.. hehe, hopefully can eat with Dear also.. always wanna bring him there but always wrong timing..

Anyway, ytd night was pretty fun.. play pool which I havent done in ages.. always ask Dear to bring me but he always dun wan.. really bad..

Work, Work,Work

Busy like a bumblebee.. Im not gettng enuf sleep & and so is my dearest hubby.. He just got prommoted n quite damn presistent to prove himself. So busy that we hardly see each other thou we live tgt.

Hope all this is worth it.. and it will pay off eventually.. now it seems that we are not doing fine financially even thou dear got a rather high increment. Living standard is so high... the salary cant keep up really..

Im hoping to get a better job.. to relive my parents' burden.. they are pretty old..hope that my mum can rest n my dad only need to drive part time.. more relaxed la.. to a better future!!!

Just got the wedding rings last sunday by myself.. was hoping that Dear can come with me to collect but he only came back from batam while im already collecting the rings.. so I asked him to mee me at the bridal shop where I will try on my dress for the final time to make the last adjustments..

Dear popped by AFTER i changed back to my usual clothes.. so he din see me in the dress again. haizz.. well, maybe he will have a nice surprise on the ROM day itself.. 2 more days before sat... i can't wait... getting a bit excited & nervous.. Still havent decided on my vows yet... how??? Dear doesn't want to say so maybe there wont be any..:(

Finally, we were at ROM... actually cant wait to do everything but I had to go toilet ( as usual), and dear had to take a puff ( as usual also).

Thanks to dear's Siao Shu, he drove us there even thou he was working..

When we sign the docs, we still had to swear the oath by raising our hand, it was so surreal.. When I look at Dear reading it, he was struggling over the word ' conscientiously' , haha.. as for me, i read the wrong line... duh.. there's just too mnay words le..

Dear was there saying.. it's so surreal, we are really getting married.. guess the notion & actually doing it is a totally different feeling.

Im slowly getting a lil nervous.. but more to whether my makeup that day will be nice or not.. haha:)

Whenever this customer calls me, Im so fustrated that I feel like crying. Not becos she screams or wat. Just that she always muz have her way even though it's not our company's fault..Damn unreasonable bitch!!

I was surfing thru the internet n saw that punggol regalia n acardia are starting the digging oredi.. how come so fast? In fact, they started earlier than the digging at senja.. why is that so? Is it becos theirs is premium..so more premium in services?

Im a lil pissed about it.. we got the senja flatearlier n had to wait a long time to get the keys.. duh!!

Hope we can get the senja flat in early 2012.. Im praying hard.. I cant wait to have our own house, seriously..

I was wracking my brain of wat to do on our ROM.. cos it's the 1st day that we will be hubby & wifey and i hope it will be memorable..

Of cos, there wont be fireworks or flying in a helicopter like the Korean drama, Boy over flowers lah... but i suggested taking the Flyer as we have a discounted coupon.. hee.. and i remember the asian civilisation museum is haveing an exhibition of kangxi emperor which i think dear will be interested in. Furthermore, i really want to know how he really look like also!! haha, tink he's not too handsome la.. lets see on that day.. :)

Hope he wants to go ACM.. cos I neva went there before.. haha!!

It amaze me when I can do stupid things at my age.. and my dear too.. Im gg to make a very important decision of my life..and its going to cost a sum of money to be wasted...

But i really dun wanna waste too much money le.. i wanna save and have my dream wedding.. im so gonna save up and have a wedding i will remember for a long time until i have amnesia!!

I dream a little dream

Ok, it's not a small dream... was discussing about the hotel where we will hold our future banquet.. I actually dun like the place ambience.. but the budget fits our pocket..so i kinda force myself into liking the place.. (does dat explain why im not really excited abt getting married?)

Haiz... i really like other hotels like the regent, mandarain oriental but the prices so ex!!! Im really in a dilemma!! Can someonw tell me wat to do ... :(

A lousy start on a Monday...

Yesterday ended on a fine note.. a sec schmate got married with another sec schmate.. I knew the guy better n he's a really nice guy.. thou we dun keep in contact but he still on off keep contact wif my bf..

And speaking of my bf..who's going to be my hubby in less than 2 weeks is really getting on my nerves. He lost his wallet more than a month ago. n din bother to make a new ic.. he jus went to make a police report.. den i realise that he needs to get a new ic for ou ROM.. that time he still has 1 month to do so which is how long the new IC needs to get done.. din bother oso.. damn fed up.. later, check with ROM that u will need a special letter to allow one to use the passport to collect all the necessary documents to get married.. haiz... i was reminding endless time.. and today, he still dare to as : " really need the letter?"

So damn pissed! if dun need, why i bother to ask him to do in the 1st place? Bo liao arh? damn pissed lor! in the end, he went ICA, say he cant find the ROM details i gave him.. i put in the bag for weeks leh! End up, he asked me to fax.. but my printer cant print , how to fax! i dun wanna bother my colleague so i walk over to the other office.. end up, i forget to bring the fax no. over.. I called and askef me he then anyhow give me a no. and dare to say: "aiyoh, how come? i oso dun rem already.. i oso got a lot of things on my mind.." Den I WALKED back to my office, and he called saying that he FOUND the paper in HIS BAG!! Wah piang..and i told him :" dtas great, well done!" in a montonous tone.....

Duh!! if dats the case ,should go earlier when free rite?? I really cant understand.. is work really so impt that the marriage thing can be put aside? Im so bloody pissed now!!!

It's a happy June!

Ok la.. actually the 1st week of june was quite boring la.. nothing much happened. And Dear was so busy the whole week that I din get to eat with him at all!

But he managed to haf dinner wif me on Tuesday at Central (what's new?) I suggetsed to eat at a jap restaurant which Ms J recommended.. it's called Mr Curry (under waraku).. it's really special cos they have curry sauce mixed with sphagetti!! I love it n dear loves it too, esp the prawns! hee.. he seldom say something is nice to eat, so im proud to show him the restaurant, haha!

Oh, ytd went to go for my fitting for the mtm rom dress.. got the length adjusted so the designer gonna sew the bubble in the gown now.. den i chose my necklace n tiara but din see any earring i like cos all is clipped on de.. so funny...

But the best news of the day was: Dear is promoted as Assistant Manager! He called me while I was trying my gown..then i saw his msg, i was a bit stunned.. but so happy for him!! I called him and then later went to Bugis junction to shop and spent more than $100 buying things that are not my objective.. was suppoesed to buy the nude bra but cant find leh... duh...

Shopping, shopping, shopping!!

I long time neva shop already.. so for the poast 2 days.. i kinda enjoy myself.

With the limited budget of mine, i managed to have fun shopping with my girlfriends:)
I neva had such fun when shopping with my dear.. cos he really hates shopping for no reason. so ytd was really fun but i did restrain myself.. at the back of my mind, i know i should spend on the necessary..

Armed with a $50 robinson voucher, i got 1 Kose mask and a box if vitaminss.. which is for my ROM prep actually.. haiz, din get any clothing.. nowadays, my money is spent buying dresses for attending weddings.. and there goes my budget..

Im feeling the impact of my low pay.. seeing my frens just buying wat ever they want makes me feel that im like in the wrong job.. we all came from the same school but somehow, we end getting different pays.. well, luck and timing really plays a big part.

Now, i am bidding my time.. trying to wrack my brain about the future.. I need to save money but haf enuf to spend at the same time.. is it possible??

Well, I seem to forgot to put in a lot of thing into my blog entry..

1) My longtime sec schmate.. is moving away from woodlands.. Nah, she's not getting married, jus moving house...sadz, cos we always meet upwif another fren who lives in bt panjang.. now, she's staying near Little India..haiz..

2) And my fren who's staying in bt panjang is moving to Taiwan next year.. Yes, she's getting married.. life really changes as time moves on... I kinda dread it.. Life will neva be the same again

3) Getting ROM on 27 June 2009.. still dun really haf the excited feeling.. Maybe becos everything was rushed thru.. and Im getting jumpy about lotsa things.. the food, dear losing his IC and not replaced yet... Im constantly worried abt these little but annoying things..

I hope everything will turn better soon... kinda feel something is missing imn my life, and Im not sure wat it is..

Finally.. tying up the loose ends

Wow.. so much things have happened this 2 months . No time or mood to update..

Now, have finally compromised everything.. & we have settled most of the ROM details..

Was supposed to have a wedding this year end but its not gonna happen now.. haiz, have to wait for 2 years.. it sucks especially when frens ard you are all getting married.. but well, u cant compare right?

Now, still dun haf the feeling of getting married cos everything is so rushed..hope it will be all worth it in the end.. I am gambling my whole life on this..

What we have feared most just happened last nite.. my dear's ah ma had passed away.. she's been in and out of the hospital for the past year.. can see that recently her health has really deteriorated.. haizz..

Tink dear didn't tell her we are gettin married cos it might even make her feel sad that she cant attend our wedding... well.. maybe this way she wont have any regrets..

now, there's a lot of things to be done.. the funeral.. then the wedding.. it's gona be a hectic 3 months ahead..

Our wedding's gonna be at Novotel this year! Thou it's not my 1st choice, but the ballroom is big enough to accomodate 400 pax.

Dear is trying to do the guest list cos he has too many ppl to invite! I have almost finished my list except for the relative's part... Seems like there's a lot of things to do cos our wedding is kinda last minute. Dear was supposed to search for the wedding hotel but he's too busy to bother about it. In the end, I was abit pissed and ended up sourcing by myself! It's the first hotel we went to n we actuallu settle for it. The budget n capacity fufils our criteria so we just decided uopn it on the day itself.

Now, next step is to get a bridal shop n the outdoor venue before i can even engage a PG n VG.. like a lot of things to do lor...

Yeah, we finally sign the agreement for our flat.. it's official that we are gettin the flat at bt panjang..

The cso at hdb told us the earliestwe can get our flat in 2.5 years time... really hope they will start the foundation piling fast..

Nw feeling somewhat more relieved.. me and dear really haveing a home we can call our own :) Can't wait!!

Dinner @ Valentino

I know it sounds weird to be spending money to eat at a fine restaurant amid the economic crisis. But this is a belated V day dinner, yah so pls dun think im trying to be funny :)

Dinner's located at a super ulu place in bt timah.. think even those ppl staying in the east side wif cars will think twice coming here..

But food was great n i think its really worth the money especially that e services was pretty good!! Was a nice experience n me & dear were really full even thou we din order much.. just a bottle of wine, appetizer, ink squid pasta n a pizza.. And we cant even finish the pizza loh!! Looking forward to eating there again :)

A Miracle!!

I finally went to exercise! Managed to jog for 1.5 round around the hdb flats..

Almost feel like dying cos i was so breathless throughout the whole processs..

Then went to buy chwee kueh to eat...haha!! so sinful!!

Dinner at S-11

Went to haf dinner at S-11 AMK on monday.. actually dear wana surprise me n he called when i knocked off from work..

I was already on the platform when i heard his call..hee, later saw that there 3 missed call..lucky i heard the phone on time if not i would be on the train le..

Had fish n chips, carrot cake n pig organ soup.. tried the pig organ soup the 1 st time but it wasnt really nice.. wont be eating the 2 nd time.. still like my ah ma cooked one.. cos i jus had it on CNY!!

Bad news.. the tender date for construction has been delayed.. haiz, means my flat will be built even later!! Really hope it will turn out fine.. cross fingers!!

"Happy" Chinese New Year??

In the year of OX, everyone is feeling the recession pinch... economic crisis..blah blah.. this year, even my company also give a smaller ang bao (only abt 35 % of last year ang bao)!! To think even if we work our butts out, the reward is even smaller.. Cant stand it !!

Well, now jus hope that i can really enjoy CNY, which i doubt la.. but hope that it's gg to be peaceful eating reunion dinner.. this year we had teppanyaki!! Haha, now dat both my sis and i working, financially wise we are not struggling anymore..

Hope that next year, i can afford to buy the Super Quality abalone for my parents to eat, haha!!

Oh no, i think im not getting any 13th mth bonus.. sianzz.. jus read the manpower webby and found dat the 13 mth is not compulsory wor.. damn...

So sian.. after working for a year and i tot there will be our annual 'reward'.. Tink everyone is very demoralised now..

It's a long wait... 3 years...

U know the Chinese saying?? "Left 3 years, Right 3 years..."

It means u wait and wait like nobody's business!! That's my feeling now.. and Im gg to haf this feeling for the next 3 years.. cos me and dear's flat will only be ready in ard 3 years time.. hopefully it will be completed sooner..guess from the forums, i can see everyone is also waiting like mad.. The gruelling anticipation is almost excruciating... it's like you see a candy in a shop but u cant have it because y?? Your mother doesnt allow u to have it!!! Arghh!!

Anyways, to all future HDB dwellers who are waiting and waiting.. happy waiting.. and I mean it in a positive way :)

A New Beginning...An Older Me..

I din really have the feeling that it's the new year.. Tot it felt more like a weekend for me..as I went JP ytd.. saw that there's a huge flood of ppl.. which my dear say they look like ants from afar..haha!

Anyway, we went JP to eat Crystal Jade but we got a shock when we rch there.. There was an ext of the shoppin mall but it literally look like a whole new shoppin ctr by itself.. Its called JP2..look brighter and trendier judging by its new shops.. think im going down this weekend or next week to get my CNY stuff.. Only managed to get a dress ytd.. there's too much ppl and my head was throbbing..

Well, the 1st 2 days of the new year has gone by pretty smoothly cept for some silly customers..well, thats very common.. anyway, looking forward to my bonus.. where is it??
